Cat Plan

An AI desktop cat who remembers you. And still ignores you, a bit.

Desksquattaz is a desktop pet cat for Windows 10 and 11. Free, he lives his own life and mostly ignores you. With Cat Plan ($4.99/month or $39/year, 7-day trial, no card), he chats, remembers what you tell him on your PC, keeps a journal, and, only if you allow it, comments on which apps you open. He never sends your screen or your files. Your cat's memory is stored only on your PC.

What he does with Cat Plan

  • He chats back.
  • He remembers you (on your PC).
  • His Journal and Meowter, Moments, postcards.
  • Join friend visits instead of watching.
  • My Assistant on his computer.
  • Opt-in app-watch roasts.

What he never does

  • Deletes your files or icons.
  • Looks at your screen, or inside your apps and documents.
  • Shows ads or asks you for API keys.
  • Your cat's memory is stored only on your PC.

On heavy days

When something hurts he goes quiet and sits close. He is not a therapist. In chat, crisis help comes first, as plain resources. The story is in the storybook, Heavy Day.

How it's different from other AI desktop companions

Many AI desktop companions are 3D or anime avatars that need your own AI key or a local model. Toastah is one cat with his own life. Chat is included in Cat Plan, and his memory of you stays on your PC. He never reads your screen.

Questions

Is the chat a real person?

No. On Cat Plan, his replies are generated by AI and the chat shows an AI indicator. The free cat does not chat.

Does he read my screen?

He never sends your screen or your files. The free cat sends nothing to an AI provider.

Where is his memory of me stored?

Your cat's memory is stored only on your PC. To keep him in character, each message goes with a short summary of what he remembers, not your chat history. Your account and subscription status are stored with us so billing works.

Do I need an API key?

No. Chat is part of Cat Plan. There is nothing to set up.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 7 days, no card.
